can you believe the nerve of this guy? I turn my back for 15 seconds and he hops on top of 2 cases of swing tops (not even cheap-o recycled ones) of fresh beer!

got to try out the Nightfall Ale last evening. It really was an interesting beer...check out my tasting notes HERE
Tonight I am planning on testing out the 1st Nightfall Ale bottle. it has been 2 months to the day, so I am very curious to see where this beer stands at the moment. Also, the bottle and brew day went off without a hitch. 8 of 9 Lives (Rouge Dead Guy inspired) looked really good, and Cool Cat cream ale appears to be on the right track. the smell of fermentation is quite nice I must say. and while there was a bit of a longer lag than I anticipated, it has since taken off like a rocket...
if all goes well, tonight will be the bottling of 8 of 9 Lives and the brewing up of Cool Cat. The plan is to reuse the yeast cake (after washing of course) because I was too lazy to make a starter...here's hoping everything falls into place!
Well...so to speak. Poured my first glass of the Revolutionary Amber (see it here!) It was really interesting IMO, and I can't wait to have a few more in the near future.
On deck will either be Cool Cat cream ale or Hoppy Kitty IPA...I am torn on when to brew these up. Actually, the only real "problem" is having enough bottles ready to contain the deliciousness! With 8 of 9 Lives set to be bottled up in the next few days there is going to be a lack of empties... |
