oh man does the fermentation smell great on this IPA! sitting at a very nice 67-ish degrees, there is a lovely thick layer of krausen sitting atop the wort. gooooo Pacman!
got the starter of Pacman yeast crankin' away this morning (350mL), and will step it up with another 2-300mL tomorrow. the yeasty beasties should be ready to rock and roll come brew day Saturday night!
well if you compare dates...I should be drinking 8 of 9 Lives and Cool Cat by now, BUT they have yet to fully carbonate. lazy yeast? cooler ambient temperatures? who knows? probably a combination of the two plus a dash of crappy luck to top it all off. Really wish I was kegging after dealing with this. Hoppy Kitty is still on deck, but I didn't want 3 full cases of backlogged brew, so I am holding off for at least a few more days...
